Why Ibiza is great for the entire family

Why Ibiza is great for the entire family
If you went to Ibiza in your younger days then the chances are you don’t remember too much of it, but there’s so much more to this beautiful Balearic island than bars, clubs and luxury properties in Ibiza! Ibiza is a fabulous place to enjoy a break with the family too, so if you’re looking for a holiday that offers golden sandy beaches, fascinating history, second to none shopping, amazing eats and an endless array of activities to keep kids and parents occupied then read on to discover everything you need to know about this Mediterranean jewel.
Choose Santa Eulalia
If you’d prefer to experience the more sedate side of Ibiza then avoid the busy resorts in and around Ibiza town and opt to stay in Santa Eulalia instead. Nestled comfortably on the eastern coast of the island, the town is a favourite for families and is well-loved for its relaxed and quiet atmosphere and authentically Spanish feel.
With Santa Eulalia as your base you’re within easy reach of Aquamar, an exciting water park filled to the brim with slides and rides to suit all ages. Or if you’re looking for an adrenalin inducing way to see the local landscape book a jeep safari and driver to help you traverse some of the island’s more rugged terrain.

Big and little kids alike will adore speeding around the go kart race track just outside of town whilst the fabulous marina and golden beaches offer plenty of water based activities including banana boats and wind surfing; or enjoy a relaxed afternoon and encounter incredible sea life on a glass bottomed boat cruise.
Explore Authentic Ibiza
If you’ve spent holidays watching your kids run around your resort in circles, then a break in Santa Eulalia is ideal for getting them out and about. There are endless kilometres of fabulous walks that take in some of the island’s most important and significant historic sites including a popular route to the stunning 16th century church that sits atop the Puig de Missa hill, but beware, the climb is not for the feint hearted! Or book a riding session at Easy Rider ranch and explore the island on four legs instead.
Holidays are all about new experiences, which is why a stay in Santa Eulalia is so much more enriching for children than a holiday in a British biased resort. In and around the stunning villages you’ll find an endless array of restaurants and cafes serving authentic Spanish fare, so after day enjoying everything the area has to offer, you and your family can do like the Spaniards do and tuck into al fresco tapas or paella and watch the world go by in the friendly atmosphere of the local square.

When it’s time to have a break from the brood, you’ll find several hotels with safe and secure kids clubs they’ll love spending the day at, whilst you can enjoy a round of golf on the professional grade course or indulge in some much needed R&R at the famous spa at the Grand Real hotel.
